Why is the mind so hard to control? Why do thoughts come unbidden to your mind - unwanted, not true thoughts even, things that you would never consciously think.
I give you an example. My daughter this afternoon said to me
you are called BOSSY mummy
and my mind replied - and you are called pain in the arse daughter. I didn't and never would, say anything like this out loud. I don't even actually think it's true most of the time! I wish i could control my thoughts the way I control my actions. Well, most of my actions. That action that takes food and brings it to the mouth i seem to have trouble with - but you get the point!

There are spiritual forces outside of us that prompt us. They see us but we cannot see them. This is the devil and his angels. The bible has the explaination for this phenomenon.
